Tammy Lough turns the Western on its head... in the best way. With mistaken identities, slapstick scenes, and lots of shenanigans, Lacey's Lessons of Love is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy with plenty of Wild West adventure added for good measure. A spunky and daring heroine, Lacey has a saucy mouth, a warm heart, and a habit of getting herself into some sticky situations. Readers will keep turning pages to see how she gets herself out of those tight spots and what hilarious fiascos she steps into next.

Somehow the author makes you fall in love with Lacey despite the girl's mischief, deception, and crazy antics. I rooted for her to achieve her goals as she journeyed into unchartered territory with unrelenting determination. I laughed, gasp, and was entertained with every page.

I was planning to just read a little bit to get started and it was so good I didn't want to stop. I literally laughed out loud. The book kept me engaged. I read half yesterday and finished the book today. Witty, funny, playful, suspenseful and romantic. I truly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed watching Lacey evolve from such a tomboy in overalls, a real bumpkin, to a proper lady. She had a nice, good-looking boyfriend, too. An enjoyable book that was fun to read.

Lacey is a character and so independent. I like reading about independent women. She is funny and a little rough on men, too. Like that Horace fellow. But most men need that. I'm 91 and laughed out loud many times while reading the book. I bought the large print and passed it on when I finished it. This book was fun to read.
